My father said, “I sent you to my garage with only one job to do! … How is it your are doing everything but?” Christian's have been given one job to do, and must focus on keeping the main thing the main thing. Five times we read the commission: Acts.1:8 “Ye shall be witnesses unto me …”, John.20:21 “So send I you ...”, Luk.24:47 “repentance and remission of sins should be preached …”, Mrk.16:15 “Preach the gospel to every creature … ”, and Matt.28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.”

Pastor Norris preached this week, in the Old Testament, Joshua was given one job to do. He got three promises: 1) Walk in the land and I'll give it to you, 2) No man will stand before you, and 3) I will be with thee. For the one job he got six charges. 1) Be strong! Be of a resolute mindset. 2) Be courageous! Take action. Don't be cowering. Get out there. Take steps. God has kicked me and said “Go tell that person about me.” And I have said, “No, I am afraid, I have no courage.” Don't do that. 3) Concerning the Word. a) Observe it! b) Meditate in it Day and Night! c) Don't go to the left or the right (don't be wishy-washy). d) Observe it all! 4) Be not afraid; Noah Webster says that is to be “impressed with fear.” 5) Be not dismayed; Noah says that is to be “disheartened, deprived of courage.” 6) Be obedient. There's a song that says, “Obedience is the very best way, … action is the key, do it immediately.”

We have only one job to do. This week, let's be about the Father's business. Lester Rolloff said it this way, “Want to save America? Get America saved!”
