Msg #2340 Come Up Hither

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan's Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

Believers will hear a voice, as it were of a trumpet talking, saying “Come up hither,” and in the twinkling of an eye, we will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air (Rev.4:1, 1Cor.15:52,1Thes.4:17). He will transport us to a throne set in heaven where the one sitting is to look upon as jasper. There's a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like an emerald (Rev.4:2-3).

With our eyes we have read the Apostle John's four Bible books where he writes “the things which thou hast seen.” With an ear to hear we have read two chapters containing seven messages to seven churches, “the things which are.” If you have a mind to read of “the things which must be hereafter” the events begin to unfold from that throne room, and are recorded for believers in The Revelation of Jesus Christ, chapters 4 thru 22. But first revel long before that throne, clothed in white raiment, with a crown of gold. Observe the lightnings, thunderings, voices, seven lamps of fire, and the sea of glass. Hear the speech of four beautiful-beasts before the Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Fall down and worship him that liveth forever and ever; cast off the crown and say, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Rev.4:11). Spend some hours in that throne room. Observe all. In the right hand of him sitting on the throne is a book sealed with seven seals. Don't start picking at seals till you have wept much, and understood a little. Only one is worthy to open the title-deed-book and take ownership of this world.
