Hot Springs Baptist Church in northwestern Montana is seeking an assistant pastor, who might, if in God's will, eventually become the pastor. It's a small church (On Sundays, we currently run 18 people or so and on Thursdays around 9 or 10 people). The church was started on the Flathead Indian Reservation in June of last year. The assistant pastor would have to be bivocational. It's a low-income community and right now there is not enough money to pay a pastor or an assistant pastor. (I have been pastoring it without pay since its inception, in addition to pastoring another church full time.)
Candidate should meet scriptural qualifications for being a pastor. He should study, teach, and preach from the KJV. Should use traditional music. Must be willing to serve in a small town - Hot Springs has roughly 600 people in it.
The assistant pastor will be asked to preach at least two or three times per month, will be responsible for heading up soul-winning efforts, and will fill-in for me as needed. I'll talk specifics with serious candidates.
