NLBC is a mature Independent, Fundamental Baptist church seeking a full time Senior pastor to shepherd the flock of God. The church began on May 2, 1969 and has had a good history and reputation in the community. Currently there is approximately 9+ Acres with an Auditorium, offices, newly remodeled Fellowship hall and Sunday School wing (2024), A nursery and kitchen wing, plus paved parking and a 3,000 sq ft parsonage (2001) that is in good condition. Central Indiana is host to many churches however NLBC is the only baptist church in the Brooklyn community. Brooklyn has almost doubled in size since the 2010 US census. The church is minutes away from Mooresville, IN, the home of the state flag and from Martinsville, IN which is the seat of Morgan County. Both towns have good Christian schools and with the Indiana School Choice voucher program makes tuition cost very affordable for the pastor if he so chooses to place his kids in them. There are plenty of other Public schools nearby as well. The work has operated as an Independent, Fundamental, KJV church for all of its history and will continue to do so. We are not Reformed, Calvinist, Armenian, or New IFB. We are Bible believers who understand that God has preserved his word in the KJV Bible and it is our only source for faith and practice. We use traditional style music for our services and ministry programs. We have a teen ministry and are serious about investing in them to have a closer walk with the Lord. We actively support 19 missionaries through our Faith Promise Missions program. Our Sunday morning attendance is regularly around 55-65 with Sunday evening and Wednesday evening around 45. We are seeking a full time senior pastor who is looking to put down some roots in the community and help the church grow into the next chapter of its history.
