Msg #1722 The Bewitching of AmericaWhat The Bible Says Good Samaritan's Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice
In God's very first epistle to Gentiles he asks, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you?” Trying to keep the law instead of relying on faith of Christ was a bewitching accomplished by Judaizers who feigned praise on the young Gentile believers. Today this same bewitching is obviously attempted by Elen G. White's Seven Day Adventists, but more subtly by Rome and her Protestants. The average accepted model is that, “At the 'Gate' Saint Peter weighs ones good deeds against their bad and hopefully they get in.” When one is bewitched they are charmed under a spell and that describes most of “Christendom” which sets under “Clergy,” and do not read their Bible. Now, even if they do, their “Clergy” give them an ecumenical, uninspired version that is not “quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword.” What is a believer to do against such a spell bound world? Might I recommend that you sharpen your sword. Don't try and defend your KJB, try and use it. The sword is not a defensive weapon it is an offensive weapon. The gates of hell are not offensive weapons, they are defensive. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night,” is not a suggestion for Joshua as he invaded God's occupied promised land. If you want to be a tree planted by the rivers of water, a young man with a cleansed way, one with great peace who lets nothing offend them, you need to memorize and use the Word that is forever settled in heaven. Discard all of man's copyright versions; use an inspired inerrant Holy Bible on your spell bound neighbors and kin. The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, memorize it.
