Pastor Watts, of Bury England, reports that an illustration of England is found in Athens; his text was Acts17. They provided the world with the KJV, Whitefield and Spurgeon; yet in all things they are yet, to superstitious. Preaching unto them the God that made the world and all things therein; it is intuitively known, but it needs said out loud repeatedly in a world filled with evolution-fiction. Second, He is a personal God, and can be known personally; despite agnostic beliefs, He is not far from every one of us. God loves us; we are His offspring and His image and likeness. Lastly, Paul preaches that God has appointed a day of judgment, and that He “Now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.” The four point message still draws three reactions. “And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. … Howbeit certain men clave unto (Paul), and believed.” The world where we minister is not different than the one the Apostle Paul found. The message we preach should not differ, and the response we report will be the same.
