The Pulpit Search Committee at Eastern Shore Baptist Church in Grasonville, Maryland is prayerfully seeking a Pastor to lead us to continue the Lord’s mission. The successful candidate must:
1) Be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit to provide Christian leadership in all areas of the church and engage in pastoral care for the congregation.
2) Have great organizational skills and possess the qualities of a pastor, teacher, leader, and caregiver.
3) Must exhibit the standards described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and qualifications described in Titus 1:5-9.
4) A man led to adhere to the Bible as his guide for leading our congregation, and to lead the lost to salvation and the saved to edification.
5) Be responsible to the Lord and the church to proclaim the gospel and teach the Bible.
6) Be responsible for pastoral care, Shepherding the Flock, and provide supervisory leadership in all areas of the church mission.
7) Must support church growth and growing community outreach.
Be an organized team player who is easily approachable, skilled in relationship building and who can effectively communicate with all age groups.
ESBC is a family friendly, biblically conservative, Independent Baptist church which currently has a congregation of between 30 to 70 people for our Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday Evening Worship, and Wednesday Evening Bible Study/Prayer Services. Our congregation uses the King James Version Bible translation. Our worship music includes a blend of traditional hymns as well as Biblically sound special music. Situated southeast of Baltimore on Maryland’s Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, the church is in a rural area.
