The best way to do a jigsaw puzzle is to first assemble the frame, then work toward the center keeping the big picture in view. The Bible prophecy of end times needs to be assembled with that same strategy and care. Religions call “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” allegorical and apocalyptic, as if it were storytelling about total destruction. It is neither. It is our Lord's revelation of “things which shall be hereafter” (Rev.1:19b). The Bible student, believing the words of his KJV Bible, first sees the big picture wherein the church age comes to a close, a millennial kingdom age rules this earth, and finally there is a new heaven and a new earth. “Christian” religions try to keep “their Church” in control till the end of time. In actuality the church age ends when His church is taken out, “their” lukewarm church is spewed out of his mouth (cf Rev.3:14-19), and the earth is plunged into a “great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world” (Mt.24:21). That tribulation period, with its seven seals (Rev.6:1-13,8:1), seven trumpets (8:2-9:21,11:15), and seven vials of the wrath of God (16:1-12,17), ends with the battle of Armageddon (14:14-20,16:16, 19:11-21). One chapter in “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” (20:1-10) describes His millennial reign on this earth, but that thousand year reign, with the King of kings on the throne of David with the rod of iron, the salvation and regathering of all Israel, and the lifted curse, is the subject and focus of a myriad of Bible prophecies (Scofield references 176 Kingdom Age verses in 20 OT books!).

Ergo, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ” covers no less than 1,992 years of church history, and 1,007 years of upcoming things that shall be. Add that to 4,000 years of BC, and this world approaches a 6,999 year mile-marker. I expect the rapture any day now, as well we should, it has been imminent since John was on Patmos. Keep looking up.
