John Phillps writes about this verse: “ This text needs to be written over the entrance to every temple & shrine of all the false religions in the world. This text needs to be placed over the door of every meeting place of all the false cults in Christendom & over the door of every liberal church. The word “ religion “ describes the way of Cain ( Jude 11). “. Cain thought his way was best. He rejected divinely revealed truth that God was not to be approached by fallen man apart from an innocent bloody sacrifice. Cain’s religion was based on “ works “, that man can earn his salvation.

What seems to be right is not right, if it violates scriptures! Jesus declared that He was the Way, the Truth, & the Life ( John 14:6 ). Jesus said that the only way to the Father was through Him. Sometimes we are criticized because we preach & witness that our Lord Jesus is the only way to heaven. But it is true! All other ways may seem right, but those ways end in death. Blessed is that precious soul who is trusting in Jesus alone to save him. Jesus Saves ( plus nothing, minus nothing)!
