Grace Baptist Church in Cleveland, Oklahoma is seeking a pastor. I resigned this morning after a total of nine years as their pastor (three years in the early 2000’s and six years recently). I love these people and have a great desire to see them go forward. The church is currently averaging 25 on Sunday morning. The church has had several periods in the last 20 years where the attendance has averaged 80 or more. They are KJV only, and sing from the hymnal. They have no debt. The nursery has recently been remodeled. We have also recently put new windows in the auditorium, as well as carpet, and new pew chairs. The building was purchased from the Southern Baptist church in 2004, and could probably run 250 without much problem as far as space is concerned. There is a good balance of each age group in the church. They have a van though it has not been put to use in some time. Candidates must be KJV by conviction and non-calvinistic. They are not tied to any particular missions board but support missionaries through several. These people will gladly be pastor led, but may not respond well to being driven like cattle. Our website is gbcleveland.com. At least until they get a pulpit committee together you can contact me at email@example.com.
They have a missions apartment in the church that will be available, at least for temporary housing. It’s spacious enough to handle a small family, and maybe more with a few adjustments. They can pay a small salary, but there will likely have to be an alternate source of income. Cleveland is about 30 miles west of Tulsa on the upper end of Keyestone Lake.
