What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan's Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.... But ye, brethren, are not in darkness,... Ye are all the children of light, ... Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober” (1Thes 5:1-2,4,5,6)Twice now America could say, “This changes everything.” An Islamic invasion on 9/11/2001 and now a pandemic and socialist invasion of 2020. Honest Christians know that a world pandemic and anarchy in the streets is larger than what the liberal left could pull off, it is diabolical. This is Satan himself flexing his muscles before the four horses of Revelation six show up, and honest Bible students know that the horses don't ride till after the rapture of the church.

Most prophets go to the people for the LORD, Habakkuk went to the LORD for the people, and asked, “What are you doing up there?” An outline for chapter 1, 2 and 3 would be Whining, Waiting and Worshiping. The short book concludes, “I don't see any end in sight,” “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (cf 3:17-19). How apropos. Faith believes God is in control, works things together for good, and can always be trusted. When you cannot see the hand of God, you can trust the heart of God. We will loose the battle, but win the war. “We are on the winning side, yes we're on the wining side, out in sin, no more will I abide. I've enlisted in the fight for the cause of truth and right, Praise the Lord, I'm on the winning side.” Amen.
