Msg #2017 Living by Grace, Dying by Grace

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan's Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

Speaking of his own death the Apostle Paul writes, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21). It's a Christian's attitude during a pandemic. The gloomy reality is that none of us are guaranteed to live through this pandemic. We are now on the tail-end of the corona virus. It did not need to, but it has devastated our economy. Make no mistake, some forces, hoping to overturn President Trump's successes, and advance socialism in America, are still trying to throttle any economic comeback, to destroy capitalism, and to advance socialism/communism in America. Survival of this nation on that front is not guaranteed either. We are only one vote away from socialism in America. Only 30 million vote in any American election, and 84 million souls sit in pews of churches each week... well they did before the government ordered them to stop! Be sure you vote right in November!

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away” (James 4:14). I'll encourage Christians to use their little vapour to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ all the way to their grave,.. or to his return “for” his saints (1Thes 4). The Apostle Paul writes to Corinth “For I am the least of the apostles,” and to the Ephesians, “Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints,” before he declares, “By the grace of God I am what I am.” Be what you are by the grace of God. You are saved by grace, sanctified by grace, standing by grace, walking by grace, so plan to live by grace and die by grace. God bless.
