Msg #2014 This Easter Sunday

What The Bible Says

Good Samaritan's Penny Pulpit by Pastor Ed Rice

For a Christian all Sundays are to be a celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, but two in the year fall around the Hebrew Passover time. The Sunday after Passover is the day of Christ's resurrection, but the Sunday before Passover was the day the Passover lamb was chosen and separated from the flock. So, on Palm Sunday we observe the selection of the Lamb of God via the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. “Hosanna to the son of David, Hosanna in the highest,” they cried, but when they came into Jerusalem “the city was moved saying, Who is this?'” The multitude got it wrong, saying it was just the prophet of Nazareth (Matt 21:8-11).

Today the multitude still has it wrong and does not recognize Jesus as did the disciples, “We have found the Messias, which is being interpreted, the Christ” (John 1:41, cf 35-51). Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and all other non-christian religions call him a prophet of Nazareth. LDSs, JWs, SDAs and all other cults deny he was the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, a person of the Trinity. More dangerous still are the “Christian Religions” that deny the efficacy of his salvation insisting on added penance, works, baptisms et.al.. These are all antichrist by Bible definition (1John 2:18,22, 4:3, 2John 1:7).

If you know the truth about who Jesus is, get out of Sunday hiding, on roof top if necessary, and let the public, the mislead multitudes, staying home from their apostate churches, know what Christ did on Resurrection Sunday. Organize your own Sunrise Service and sing out loud, and with joy, “Christ the Lord is Risen Today, Hallelujah!” If there ever was a day it was needed, it is in the midst of a pandemic. Lift your mask and sing out loud.
