An “Awake America” effort has an exceptional spearhead called “Capitol Connection” wherein independent Baptist pastors are encouraged to make a connection to their government representatives. Three building blocks of good society are Christlike homes, in Biblical churches, upholding a righteous government. In 2020 America is sorely lacking in all three, but foundations that have the first two need to start reaching into that third layer. If our society is going to remain viable, and see America great again, Christians need to strongly impact our government officials. Pastor Mike Creed's extraordinary effort to get an impactful prayer warrior, a gospel witness, a sincere Baptist pastor's heart, a Holy Ghost presence of God, into every representative's office in DC (yeah in every State Capitol as well) is powerful, and needs independent Baptist pastor's involvement. A pastor having a meek and quiet word of prayer with a representative or their staff, addressing their needs, their salvation, and their dependence on wisdom from the LORD God in these troublous times, is far more effective than any rant about how bad things are. That, in brief, is what Capitol Connection is about. They are your local, state, and federal representatives, they want to meet and hear from their constituents, an in-person meeting beats any email or phone call, and showing up just to let them know you are their prayer warrior is powerful. God will amaze with the results of this interaction. Thank you Pastor Creed for an exceptional conference, lets all make inroads into all our government representative's offices, and keep their doors open to constituents who are also compassionate Baptist pastors. NYS had five pastors visiting their DC representatives this week, and, thanks to gallant efforts and organization of Pastor Tim Young, all 29 NYS Congressmen received visits and presentations. PTL
