I have been silent in my posting for several days.  After loosing the baby, I felt it good to take time to reflect.  I don’t want the post to become heavy or discouraging to the readers.  So our daily post will resume.  Hope that it can be a help in some way.
Isaiah 45:12 says, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”   It is amazing to think that the hands that made the mighty universe also hand-craft every child in the womb.  “Before I formed thee in the [...]
June 5, 2009–I can’t tell you how much the prayers of my church family have meant to my wife and I these past few days.  It is only God’s grace and peace that have sustained us in the past 48 hours.  God hasn’t taken the tears away, but He has eased the pain.  For all [...]
June 3-4, 2009–As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.  (2 Samuel 22:31)  Today, our little boy went to Heaven.  We know that it was the perfect time for our child to go home to be with the [...]

The funeral service will be held tomorrow, June 3rd at 10:00 am at Hillcrest in the chapel. Please pray for the family if you cannot attend.
May 29, 2009 Ladies Bible Study was started in 2006 in order to give our ladies an opportunity to fellowship together and get practical Bible advice from our pastor’s wife, Mrs. Amy.  The ladies are encouraged to bring a refreshment (because eating makes every meeting better, you know).  The meeting is held on the first Thursday [...]
May 30, 2009 Over the last couple of days our church took some of its men to a Men’s Retreat with three other churches.  It was specifically planned by our churches to encourage men to be faithful to the Lord and His work.  This gathering of men and pastors represented a group who were genuinely interested [...]
If you were there for the Sunday evening message you heard about the impact that Aquila and Priscilla, uneducated lay-people, had on Apollos at Ephesus.  At further thought, I am drawn to Galatians 6:6 which says, “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.”  Teach the teachers, [...]
Today marks another one of our dear loved church family going home to be with the Lord.  Pete was taken off life support this afternoon.  He leaves behind his dear wife, Ruth, of many years.  The service should be Tuesday morning but arrangements are still being made.  The prayers for the family are much appreciated.  [...]
The Bible says that except a person come to Christ with childlike faith, they cannot be saved. With this in mind it has been wonderful to see two young children saved this week! Both of them came asking without prompting about what it means to go to Heaven. Childlike faith is simple. It doesn’t need academic [...]
Pete and Ruth Reichert have had some health problems lately including back surgery for Pete.  Due to some complications, he has been admitted to UCLA’s Ronald Reagan Hospital near Los Angeles.  The doctors feel like it doesn’t look good for him making it out of the hospital.  Please pray for this dear man and his [...]

Next activities are in June… June 4–Ladies Bible Study, June 12-13–Men & Boys Campout, June 14–Promotion [...]
Thrusday’s post was a request for ideas about games for the picnic on Monday.  There have been some great ideas already.  Get in on the fun and put in your ideas!  (Click here to see Thursday’s post).
Don’t forget that the men are having the annual shotgun shootout today! Call the church for more details. And tomorrow is the Mother-Daughter-Friend Luncheon. That’s all for now…
Today, Rich went to be with our Saviour.  As his eyes, closed here they opened in Heaven.  The Bible says, “…to be absent from the body…[is] to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8)  So, he woke up in Heaven today.  But as I sit here at the end of the day here, I know his [...]
Today, at the graduation of West Coast Baptist College, 178 young adults graduated after having prepared for full-time ministry.  Among those graduates was Jeremy Picker, one of our own.  Along with Jeremy’s desire to serve God, his character and work ethic have earned him CHP officer of the year for the Antelope Valley Region.  Congratulations, [...]
Coming soon! Make plans now!     May 24–God and Country Sunday     May 25–Memorial Day Picnic at Church     June 12-13–Men & Boys Campout     June 14–Promotion Sunday     June 21–Father’s Day (Camp has been moved to August.)
The past couple of days have been marked by some sweet fellowship among the people of McKee Road Baptist Church.  Friday night at the men’s shotgun shootout, the men didn’t break any records for the most clay pigeons hit, but how great it was just to be doing it together. “Behold, how good and how pleasant [...]
What we believe is very important, it is what makes us distinctive.  We do not yet have a belief statement on our website home page, but I thought I should post it here for now.  Many people shy away from terms like ‘denomination’ or ‘fundamentals’ because of supposed negative connotations. Yet, in other contexts these [...]
Have you ever noticed that it is much easier to do a task when you have people doing it with you?  Not just the mere fact of more workers doing more work, but the emotional boost it is to feel like you’re a part of a team.  Besides the uplifing working environment teamwork provides, it [...]
Monday is a family picnic at the church, so make plans now to come before you commit to any other plans. It is a bring your own picnic meal with games and activities for the whole family. Have a great day!
Does anyone have any ideas for games at the Memorial Day Picnic on Monday? So far, it has been suggested to have ping pong. If anyone has croquet, that would be fun. I also thought water balloons for the kids might be fun. We have a basketball goal, too. I think [...]
I can’t tell you how many times I have said that very phrase to someone.  It has struck me over and over that God has good things for us at the right time.  This is true in the story that we would call “the prodigal son” from Luke 15.  In this story we see that [...]
