Not satisfied with God's leadership


Numbers 21:5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. The people were angry with God and His man, Moses. They had their list of complaints. They wanted their old lives back. They said that God had brought them out into the wilderness to die. God wasn't meeting their needs as they wanted. They were tired of what He was providing. They weren't satisfied with His daily provision. What a horrible picture of selfishness we see here. As bad as it looks when we think about them, Israel, we must admit that we often have the same attitudes. We complain about everything. We are not satisfied. We want what we want when we want it! We feel like God's plan, and leadership isn't working as it should. It is easy to strike out at the spiritual leader because we can say we aren't speaking against God.
