PIU/TTU Merger

Piedmont International University and Tennessee Temple University are pleased to announce a successful merger as of April 30, 2015. These two historic schools were founded within a year of each other in the 1940’s and share remarkably similar histories and a common mission to provide quality Bible-centered higher education for effective ministry and professional training.

Unlike most mergers that result in winners and losers with one entity surviving and the other going away, this will be more like a marriage. One spouse may have to move and a name may be changed, but neither spouse disappears. Tennessee Temple is moving to North Carolina and names will be shared. Temple Baptist Seminary will continue but now as a major school of Piedmont International University.
